| PLEASE NOTE: Pueblo is a city located in Pueblo County in Southern Colorado. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 102,121. It is the county seat of Pueblo County. Pueblo was formerly one of the largest steel-producing cities in the United States. It is now home to a number of electronics and aviation companies.
Pueblo is the hometown of Damon Runyon, who never returned after 1911 or so, but mentioned Pueblo in many of his newspaper columns (notably his "Our Old Man" pieces).
Pueblo is the site of a National Medal of Honor Memorial. Until recently, Pueblo was unique as the residence of four living recipients of the Medal of Honor.
Metal of Honor winners from Pueblo include Raymond G. Murphy, US Marine Corps 1953; William J. Crawford, US Army 1943; Carl L. Sitter, US Marine Corps 1950; Drew D. Dix, US Army 1968.
